Franklin Park Distribution

In 2006 Washington Properties, Inc. formed a joint venture with an investment vehicle managed by BlackRock Realty Advisors, Inc. for the purpose of investing in value-added industrial real estate in the Chicago area.

Development Solutions, Inc. (DSI) acted as the design-build general contractor on their first project to design and construct a 75,000 square foot office/industrial building as well as complete all required sitework, including all utilities, mass-grading of the site and completion of the detention pond. In addition, DSI managed and coordinated all architecture, engineering and landscape design.

The building and site was designed with tremendous flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the logistic distribution market near O’Hare Airport.
