Karis Cold selected DSI as the design-build contractor for the construction of Karis Stockyards, a state-of-the-art cold storage facility spanning 96,000 square feet. Located on a 5-acre site within the manufacturing district, just 4 miles south of Downtown Chicago, this facility is designed for optimal cold storage efficiency.

Karis Stockyards is set to become a premium cold storage solution, featuring an impressive 50-foot clear height. The facility will offer a broad temperature range, reaching as low as -13 degrees, while maintaining consistent full-facility cooling at -10 degrees, catering to diverse cold storage needs with precision.

Demolition of the site began in Spring 2024, with an anticipated delivery in Q4 2025. Upon completion, Karis Stockyards will set a new industry standard, offering top-tier cold storage capabilities tailored to meet the rigorous demands of modern cold chain logistics.
